Attempted bank robbery under investigation in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. – Chesapeake Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery that took place Friday morning at the Wells Fargo branch located in the 3900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard.

Witnesses reported that a white male entered the business and walked up to a teller and demanded money. No money or property was taken. No weapon was displayed or implied.

The man left the business through the front doors and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

No one in the bank was injured.

The man is described a white male, 5’7”, regular build, unshaven, wearing khaki pants, white dress shirt with vertical and horizontal thin stripes, running shoes, sunglasses and a red Virginia Tech baseball cap.
