New York, NY. – Travelers at New York’s LaGuardia Airport were treated to a special performance Sunday when two well-known Broadway casts decided it was time for a sing-off.
The Broadway casts of “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” were stuck at the airport on their way to Orlando, but turned a six-hour flight delay into a cause for celebration.
The spirited sing-off between the two casts included favorites “The Circle of Life,” “Arabian Nights,” and a freestyle rap by the Genie from “Aladdin.”
But this is not the “Lion King” cast’s first impromptu performance. Last August, the group boarded the New York subway and surprised riders with another rendition of “Circle of Life.”
