Portsmouth Police officer indicted for computer privacy crime

Portsmouth, Va. – A Portsmouth Police officer has been indicted on allegations of computer invasion of privacy, according to a release from the Portsmouth Police Department.

The indictment came as a result of an investigation handled by Virginia State Police.

The officer, Melissa Moore, turned herself in June 4th and was booked on the indictment. She has been placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of the case. She has been with the police department for three years.
