Williamsburg, Va. – Jason Weller, Chief of USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, will participate in a multi-partner project intended to provide fresh produce and natural resource education to citizens of greater Williamsburg.
Weller and other partner representatives will attend a groundbreaking event for the initiative on Friday, June 12. Participants will discuss how the new project will help redefine the concept of green space and serve as a model for learning in conservation and sustainable farming.
At the event, attendees will learn how this partnership between Dominion Virginia Power and James City County will inform citizens about agriculture, botany, and nutrition. Those in attendance will additionally be given the opportunity to learn more about the new pollinator demonstration and learning station.
The event will run from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at 4615 Opportunity Way in Williamsburg.
