Suffolk, Va. – Residents and businesses throughout Suffolk gathered at the city’s Relay for Life event on May 16 and 17. The event brought in $12,383.09 for the American Cancer Society.
Relay teams of citizens, businesses, and other organizations collectively raised almost $200,000 in donations towards the Relay for Life Suffolk Campaign.
The City of Suffolk team added an additional $17,000 to the team’s total by hosting events like the Suffolk Relay for Life Golf Tournament. This brought the Suffolk team to over $23,000, making them the top fundraising team for this year’s campaign.
