Chesapeake, Va. – A 74-year-old man died Friday after his vehicle ran off I-64 and hit a tree.
Virginia State Police say they responded to the single-vehicle crash around 12:10 p.m. The crash occurred on I-64 in Chesapeake, just east of Battlefield Boulevard.
The victim, 74-year-old Terry L. Earley, was driving a 2004 Ford Escape when he ran off the road and hit a tree. Earley was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
