Virginia Beach, Va. - A shooting investigation is underway in Virginia Beach, according to police dispatch.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald's near the intersection of Birdneck Road and 19th Street around 7:15 p.m. Monday night
When police arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.
A man inside the restaurant at the time tells NewsChannel 3 he heard about 4 gunshots, but didn't see it happen. "I was freaking out," said Dante Nimmo. "It just got like quiet. People went to windows. Some people went to their cars. Some people started crying."
Police do not have any information on suspects at this time.
