Norfolk, Va. – Two teens literally sent Norfolk police on a joy ride Saturday afternoon.
Shortly after 1:00 p.m. officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction when the vehicle continued to drive away at a high rate of speed.
About two blocks later in the 900 block of Quail Street, the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit several parked cars, which caused his car to land on its roof.
A 15 and 17-year-old man were both transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries.
Police investigation shows the vehicle they were in was stolen from the City of Virginia Beach.
Both face several charges once they are released from the hospital.
