What a great way to ease back into the work week, with below-normal temperatures, comfortable humidity levels and dry weather.

All those things will be changing over the next few days. Expect higher temperatures and higher humidity levels on Tuesday. Under partly cloudy skies, we'll see highs in the low-to-mid 90s, with heat index values near the triple digit mark. A stray t-storm is possible in the afternoon, but most of us should stay dry.

The heat and humidity stick around on Wednesday, with a better chance (40%) for afternoon showers and storms. As a matter of fact, we'll hold on to that 40% chance through the rest of the work week and Independence Day on Saturday. Expect highs each day in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

It's looking a little milder and a little drier for Sunday. But the mercury will be back to around 90 by next Monday.
