Currituck Co. SPCA looking for dog, cat fosters after fire

Posted

Barco, NC – The Currituck County SPCA is looking for foster homes for about five dogs and 40 cats after a fire on Monday.

The fire broke out when their dryer’s temperature switch failed.

The building did not suffer major damage. The majority of the damage was confirmed to the back laundry room.

The fire destroyed the facility’s industrial dryer and the smoke was enough to make it too dangerous to house the animals.

Luckily the SPCA was already planning to move to a new facility in a few months.

The SPCA is now looking for foster homes for the animals in the meantime.

They are also looking for donations of baby wipes, clean towels and sheets.
