Williamsburg, Va. - William and Mary Tribe head women's soccer coach John Daly has three words for U.S. Women's National Team head coach, Jill Ellis - "Go Get'Em."
Ellis was an All-American forward when she played for Daly and the Lady Tribe from 1984 - 1987.
NewsChannel 3 had an opportunity to sit down with coach to talk about his star athlete.
"She was just one of the most silky, smooth players who had great ball control. She had long skinny legs and she just glided around the field - tremendous player," he says.
"Jill, we are right behind you girl and we are proud of you and we know you are going to do it - go get'em. As she is getting ready for (World Cup), she knows it will be a tough game. The Japanese are very technical, very skillful but the U.S. has it going right now. Jill will have them primed and ready . She will give them the right tactical advice before the game and I have every confidence that she will bring home the bacon. Three to one U.S. - Go Jillian."
