Virginia Beach, Va. - It's 4th of July weekend at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. People are packing the beach and the recent shark attacks just a few hours south aren't scaring too many people from the water... although some are choosing to stay put in the sand.
One thing everyone seems to be agreeing on is the meaning of the weekend.
"It's more than being able to come out here and have fun with your family. It's also to celebrate our independence from Great Britain," says Army veteran Dave Skirzecz.
