Franklin, Va. - Police have arrested three people in connection to credit card thefts.

Miguel Matos Gamez of Michigan, Michel Matos Guetierrez of Florida and Viridiana Lopez-Palacios are all charged with credit card theft, conspiracy to commit credit card theft and unlawful use of a credit card scanning or re-encoding device.

Police say they used a skimming device to steal credit card information from more than 20 people.

The skimmer was installed on a gas pump at the Duck-Thru on Hunterdale Rd.

Police first found out about it on July 4th when they started getting calls from people noticing fraudulent charges.

After being told to keep an eye out, a manager at the gas station discovered the skimmer on July 13th.

Police looked through surveillance video and identified a car that might belong to the suspects.

Later that night, they arrested two people when police say they came back to the gas station.

They later served a search warrant at a motel on Armory Drive where they were staying and arrested a third person.

All three were sent to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail and are being held without bond.
