As Hamid Lamrabet scratched his Money Money Money ticket from the Virginia Lottery, he thought he’d won $5,000.
But the Virginia Beach man soon discovered that wasn’t correct. He’d actually won $500,000.
“I’m very excited,” he said as he claimed his prize. “I feel like I’m flying!”
The winning ticket was bought at Smoke Shop at 309 Aragona Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
Money Money Money is one of dozens of Scratcher games available from the Virginia Lottery. It features prizes ranging from $20 all the way up $4 million. Mr. Lamrabet won the $500,000 second prize. This is the first $500,000 prize claimed in the game, which means three remain unclaimed.
Two $4 million top prizes also remain unclaimed.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,305,600. The odds of winning any prize in the game is 1 in 2.97.
