Suffolk, Va. – Police have arrested two men following several reports of cars being broken into from 18 different locations in the Lakeside neighborhood.

Diana Klink with Suffolk Police told us that multiple reports were received of unknown subjects tampering with vehicles in the Lakeside community between July 31st and August 1st, with citizens reporting various items stolen from their cars.

Police arrested both Daylan Malik Wilkins, 18, of Suffolk and Juwon O’Shea Allen, 19, of Suffolk in connection with the thefts. They’ve both been charged with 20 counts of Entering the Property of Another, Grand Larceny, Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny and 4 counts of Petit Larceny.

They are both currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

Although the men are both behind bars, neighbors in the Lakeside community are still uneasy.

“To think of someone coming onto your property and just messing with your stuff when your not even home and some times they do it when you are home,” said Teresa Hammond. “It’s not just here it’s everywhere.”
