Relief on the way… It will still be hot and humid today with highs in the low to mid 90s and an afternoon heat index close to 100. Most areas will see a mix of sun and clouds today but a few isolated showers/storms are possible. Highs will dip into the 80s for the end of the work week.
More showers and storms will move in for Thursday and Friday as an area of low pressure moves through the Mid-Atlantic. We could see a few leftover showers early Saturday but most of the weekend should be dry. Highs will remain in the mid 80s for the weekend.
