Chesapeake, Va. – A family of five was displaced Friday morning when their Deep Creek home was damaged by a fire.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 2500 block of Gilmerton Road around 10:30 a.m.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the two-story home.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area. The fire was under control at 10:42 a.m.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
No one was injured.
