76-year-old woman reported missing by family in Suffolk located safely

UPDATE: Police say Ms. Pittman has been located safely. 

Suffolk, Va. – Police need your help to find a missing and endangered woman in Suffolk.

They are searching for 76-year-old Mary Lizzie Pittman.

Pittman was reported missing by family members on Monday afternoon. She was last seen on August 3rd at around 2:30 p.m. getting into a black Mercedes SUV in the 2000 block of North Main Street.

She was seen by a family member and reportedly not in distress.

The family does not know the driver of the vehicle and has not spoken to Pittman since early August.

She’s described as an African-American woman who stands 5’6″ and weighs around 150 to 160 pounds.

She has all gray hair and brown eyes.

She wears glasses.

The photo released is several years old.

Pittman suffers from medical conditions that require medication.

If you’ve seen her, police say please do not approach her. They advise citizens to call Suffolk 911 immediately.
