Virginia Beach, Va. – A family dog has tested positive for rabies after it encountered a rabid raccoon in a Virginia Beach neighborhood on Wednesday.
The raccoon was found in the 1400 block of North Woodhouse Road in the Alanton subdivision.
If anyone in your home, including your pet has had any exposure to stray or wild animals within the last few weeks, please contact your physician or the Health Department at 757-518-2700.
