Portsmouth, Va. - A Portsmouth middle school was looking for a few good men to welcome kids back to school, and that's certainly what happened on Tuesday morning.
Students hopped off the bus and straight into a huddle of encouragement.
Hundreds of men from the community lined the sidewalks all the way up to Cradock's double-door entrance.
Professionals in suits and even the city's mayor were there. Officers were also there to help welcome the students.
Dozens of them were members of Grove Baptist Church in Portsmouth. They all woke up to join students as they start another school year.
They told NewsChannel 3 this was their passion. They wanted to be there to inspire the students.
