Virginia Beach,Va. - Emergency repairs will be made to water mains on two major Virginia Beach roads Thursday.
Virginia Beach Public Utilities crews are currently working on a water main on Shore Drive near the intersection of Greenwell Road. Work began around 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning and is expected to be complete later in the afternoon.
During the repair on Shore Drive, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
After completing that work, crews will move to the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Kings Grant Road to repair a water main there as well. Work is scheduled to begin around 4:00 p.m. and will be completed by 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.
During the repair on Virginia Beach Boulevard, westbound traffic will be reduced from five lanes to two lanes.
