New York – Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said that he’s signed a pledge not to run as an independent or third party candidate, and that he’ll support the eventual Republican presidential nominee.

RNC officials sent the pledge to various GOP presidential candidates this week, some speculated that this was aimed at Trump.

The presidential front-runner of the Republican party met with the RNC Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Thursday.

He came out that afternoon declaring that he signed the pledge.

According to CNN, Trump said:

“The best way for the Republicans to win is if I win the nomination and go directly against whoever they happen to put up. And for that reason, I have signed the pledge.”
