Hampton, Va. - Robert Griffin, Jr, Quarterback Robert Griffin, III's father, will spend 10 days behind bars after he was found guilty of reckless driving.

According to documents, he was driving at 115 mph on I-64 on Sunday, August 2nd. He was stopped near Hampton Roads Center Parkway.

Griffin was found guilty and sentenced to 60 days in jail with 50 suspended.

He will serve a total of 10 days on consecutive weekends starting on October 2nd.

He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.

NewsChannel 3 spoke with Griffin's attorney, Ben Kavanagh.

"At this point we are going to decline to comment on anything other than what can be found in court documents in Hampton," says Kavanagh. "The only thing I can comment on is that reckless driving is cited for anyone that is going 80 miles per hour or anyone that is going 20 miles or more over the posted speed limit."
