Manama, Bahrain – The Department of Defense announced the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
21-year-old Seaman Philip Frazier Manes died on September 27.
Manes, who was from Fairfax, Virginia, died of a non-combat related incident.
He was assigned to USS Gladiator and forward deployed to Bahrain.
The incident is currently under investigation.
