Richmond, Va. – Qualified Virginia voters can now request their absentee ballots.
Registered voters may vote absentee by mail or in-person.
Voters must meet one of the 19 elegibility requirements listed on the last page of the Virginia Absentee Ballot Application.
Applications must be submitted to the voter’s local registration office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 in order to receive an absentee ballot in the mail.
Absentee ballot applications may be hand-delivered, mailed, faxed, or emailed to their local voter registration office.
Voters have until November 3, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. to return their completed absentee ballot.
Voters also have until October 31 to vote an in-person absentee ballot at their local voter registration office.
Local offices will have in-person absentee voting available each business day through Saturday, October 31st.
Registration offices will also be open the last two Saturdays before Election Day.
