Smithfield partnered with Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy to donate 25,000 pounds of protein to two food banks earlier this week.
The food banks that received donations were The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
The Farm Fresh store on Great Neck in Virginia Beach kicked off their grand re-opening with their donations.
This significant donation served Southeastern Virginia and was part of Smithfield’s Helping Hungry Homes tour which is the company’s coast-to-coast initiative to help families and individuals become food secure.
