She goes the extra mile by attending her students special functions such as sporting events.” Mrs. Kemp is in need of books, including novels, and supplies for her students.

Nancy Habit is a middle school art teacher at Renaissance Academy in Virginia Beach. A fellow teacher, Matthew Thompson, nominated her for this award. He writes: “She NEVER misses an opportunity to praise our students and strives to develop them both academically and personally. I have never seen such a positive role model.” Ms. Habit is in need of poster boards, colored pencils, dry erase markers, glue guns and sticks, tape, paint with brushes and paint stands.
