Norfolk, Va. - Thank you.  That's all Sheila Ives wants to say to Corporal Tracie Mitchell and Master Deputy Brian Williams.

The two are considered heroes for taking action and saving the life of Ives' mother, Mary Welch, a few weeks ago while they were doing a wellness check.

"First we rang the bell and it didn't work, then corporal said try the door and her keys were inside the door," said Williams.

When they went inside, they found Welch, slumped over on the floor.

She was transported to the hospital, where she's still being kept in the ICU.

"It`s awesome. The first day I met these guys they were gonna be special in my mom`s life," Ives said.

But the Marshall and Williams don't call themselves heroes.

"We don`t feel like heroes because this is what we are chosen by the sheriff`s office to do," Mitchell said

"Once again, our motto: this is what we do," Williams said. "Just another day's work."

It was the day's work that saved Mary Welch's life.
