Norfolk, Va. – Ready, set, recycle!
Keep Norfolk Beautiful is hosting an America Recycles Day on Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This event is free to the public and will give Norfolk residents the opportunity to turn their unwanted items into something useful and properly dispose of household hazardous waste materials.
Goodwill Industries has partnered to help with this drive-thru waste event.
City staff and volunteers will be there helping with donations and donation receipts will be provided for tax deductible purposes.
Norfolk residents can drop-off the following items:
- Books (soft and hard cover)
- Documents for shredding
- Household Hazardous Waste materials
- Non-commercial acceptable recyclable items
- Plastic shopping bags
- Unwanted electronics
Customers can drop off their items at the City’s Household Hazardous Waste facility located at 1176 Pineridge Road.
The first 200 residents to bring two or more non-perishable items for the Food Bank will receive a free reusable tote!
