Facts About Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 225,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women this year. In addition, more than 63,000 new cases of carcinoma in situ will be diagnosed. These are non‐invasive, but are an early form of breast cancer. There are more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
