Citizens take action to help police catch 3 burglary suspects

Virginia Beach, Va. - Police have arrested three people in connection with a burglary that happened in Wednesday, October 14.

Several people saw three people in the backyard of a house on Bromfield Avenue around 8:15 a.m.

The suspects seemed to be burglarizing the house and the witnesses called police.

The suspects ran away before officers arrived at the scene.

Police were helped by K-9 officers and used a helicopter to search for the suspects, who were found around 30 minutes later.

Elanteyz Llwellen Henton, 19, was charged with breaking and entering and petit larceny.

Marvin Rahiem Highter, 19, was charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of marijuana.

A 16-year-old male was also arrested and charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and carrying a concealed weapon. His name and picture have not been released due to his age.

"We don`t normally have any trouble in the neighborhood. That is why my wife and I moved from one house in this neighborhood to another house in the neighborhood because we love it," says Richard Carney, a neighbor.
