Newport News, Va. – A 26-year-old Newport News man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car early Tuesday morning.
Police received a call about the accident at 12:24 am and found the man near the area of Thimble Shoals and Jefferson Avenue.
Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident and at this point it does not appear that the driver will be charged.
