DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. — The mother behind a pregnancy announcement that went viral last month has given birth to her child 16 weeks early.

According to their social media update, Kaleb Arkell Graves was born Tuesday afternoon at 24 weeks and one day.

Yesterday, Kaleb’s mother Dana Griffin-Graves was in critical care at the hospital.

Her husband, Arkell, whose reaction to his wife’s news was filmed and posted to YouTube, posted on Facebook saying:

Dana and Arkell started trying to have kids after they got married 17 years ago. But it has not been easy. After delivering a stillborn baby at six months, and four miscarriages, the couple decided to let go of their dream of being parents.

Time passed and Dana started walking with her friends but she wasn’t losing weight like they were, so she went to the doctor.

That’s when she found out she was five months pregnant.

Dana surprised Arkell by putting literal buns in the oven, and next to the buns, she placed a sonogram picture.

When Arkell realized he’s going to be a dad, his reaction was perfect. Dana filmed the reveal and the couple found themselves in the spotlight.

Dana added a message on Facebook to those who supported the family saying:

I want to thank everyone for the constant prayers, Please keep praying. We are asking God to finish this & give us a healthy son. I count it all done. I appreciate everyone whose followed our journey. ‪#‎TEAMKALEB!!
