Newport News, Va. - Police are increasing their presence at Heritage High School after someone made threats to "shoot up" the school.
A Twitter user under the wrote that the high school would "soon face a tragedy."
An official with Newport News Public Schools says police are aware of the incident and are still investigating.
Extra security and police will be at the school and all students will have to walk through a metal detector.
Police do not believe the threat is serious, but are still taking extra precautions to keep students safe.
