Virginia Beach, Va. – A woman and her young child were injured in a three-vehicle accident in Virginia Beach on Thursday morning.
They were in a white, Nissan four door sedan that appeared to have rear ended two vehicles that were stopped in traffic in the 4900 block of Princess Anne Road near Englewood Drive, according to police.
The accident occurred at around 8:33 a.m. All three vehicles were in the left eastbound lane at the time.
Police say the woman hit a Ford F-150 pick-up which then hit a grey Toyota SUV.
The woman and child were taken to the hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. Police believe the child is under the age of three.
Police have not said if charges will be filed in this case, which is still under investigation.
