Health department looking for Dachshund that bit person in Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Va. – The Peninsula Health District is looking for black Dachshund dog that bit a person on October 21st.

The incident happened on New Town Avenue near the bus stop across from the Urgent Care.

The dog was being walked by a lady with two other black Dachshunds.

If the dog is not found, the victim may have to undergo post exposure treatment for the prevention of rabies. If found, the dog won’t be taken from its owner, just placed on an in-home confinement period of 10 days.
