Newport News, Va. – A 22-year-old man has been arrested after he was accused of carjacking someone in Newport News.
Police say the incident happened on September 13th, 2015 at 6:52 a.m. in the 800 block of Lucas Creek Rd.
The victim told police he was sitting in his Kia Optima on the phone when a man wearing a red hoodie walked up and pointed a gun at him.
He says three others also approached him and told him to take his pants off.
The victim says the men took his cash, cellphone, identification and clothing.
Police have charged Kwaimain Redmon with robbery, carjacking, possession of a firearm and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
On October 24th, Redmon, who was out of jail on bond, encountered police and was arrested in the 300 block of Beechmont Drive for possession of a stolen firearm by a convicted felon.
He is now in the Newport News jail on no bond.
