Masked man robs Virginia Commonwealth Bank in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk police are searching for a masked man who robbed Virginia Commonwealth Bank located in the 1700 block of North Main Street Monday afternoon.

Emergency Communications received a call at 2:53 p.m. saying a lone white male wearing a mask had entered the bank and demanded money at gunpoint.  The man ran away after receiving an undisclosed amount of currency.  There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as approximately 6’0” tall, weighing approximately 170 to 180 pounds, between the age of 45 to 55 with graying hair and carrying a black bag. He was wearing a light blue sweat shirt with a logo including the letter “N” in the center with a dark blue stripe down the sleeves, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a mask covering his face and a portion of his head.
