Annapolis, Md. – After Naval Academy midshipmen created a singing and dancing video to the tune of the song “Uptown Funk,” they’re challenging members of the Navy stationed in Norfolk to do the same.

The spirit video is called “Naptown Funk” and replaces the words of Uptown Funk, originally sang by Bruno Mars, with lyrics that showcase Annapolis, another popular Naval city.

“Norfolk, Can you own it? You’re a Navy town, so show it!” one midshipman sings.

Midshipman Rylan Tuohy, the director of “Naptown Funk,”created a similar Navy spirit video for the 115th Army-Navy football game in Baltimore in 2014 called “We Give a Ship.”
