Smithfield, Va. - Police are looking for a man who robbed a Smithfield gas station wearing a mask from a well-known horror movie.

On November 1 at around 9:15 a.m., a black male wearing a "Michael Myers" mask came into the Supreme Gas Station on South Church Street.halloween

Michael Myers is the murderous main character from the Halloween movie franchise.

The suspect had what appeared to be a gun in a paper bag and demanded money from the register.

The clerk gave the suspect the money and the suspect ran away from the scene.

At the store on Wednesday, the owner of Supreme Gas Station told Newschannel 3 that the experience was extremely scary, and he is glad that no one was hurt.

Frequent customers of the store were shocked to hear about the robbery.

"I'm shocked, I'm really shocked this is just the most beautiful, smallest town. You just don’t think of this kind of stuff here," said Patty Grampre.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall and around 170 pounds.
