Missing infant and mother found in Norfolk

UPDATE: Portsmouth Police detectives located Eria and Princeton Barnes at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday morning in the City of Norfolk. Both were unharmed. 

PREVIOUSLY:

Portsmouth, Va. – The Portsmouth Police Special Victims Unit needs your help finding a missing four-month-old and his mother.

Investigators say Eria Barnes was visiting her four-month-old son, Princeton, in the 20 block of Pollux Circle on November 6.

Barnes was visiting her son from Mississippi. Princeton was born in Mississippi, but Child Protective Services placed him in his grandmother’s custody.

Barnes, who does not have custody of Princeton, walked out of the front door saying no one could take her son away from her.

No one in Barnes’ family has seen her or Princeton since November 6.

Princeton is a four-month-old black male that weighs around 25 pounds.

Eria Barnes is a 35-year-old black woman, around 5′ tall and weighs around 100 pounds.

Barnes has a warrant on file for failing to obey a court order in the City of Portsmouth. She is known to frequent Norfolk, Chesapeake and Portsmouth.
