Sou Saroun
Virginia Beach, Va. – A 27-year-old man been sentenced for three life terms after sexually abusing a child over the span of three years.
Saroun Sou pleaded guilty to three counts of forcible sodomy on March 16, 2015.
The child’s age and gender have not been released in order to protect their identity.
Police say Sou knew the child and assaulted them multiple times. Sou covered the child’s mouth so the child couldn’t scream, bribed the child with video games and threatened to beat the child.
Sou said he was “sick in the head” and that abusing the child gave him an adrenaline rush.
The child told an adult about the abuse. The adult contacted police.
“Can I just plead guilty now and go to jail? I am ready to just get this over with. I did everything they say I did,” Sou told police.
Judge Glenn R. Croshaw didn’t suspend any part of Sou’s sentence and called the crimes “vile, despicable and disgusting acts.”
