Norfolk, Va. - The Stop the Violence Movement will occur Thursday in Norfolk and will include a Stop the Violence forum at Norfolk State University and a concert at the Norva.
The Stop the Violence Movement was founded 25 years ago by hip-hop artist KRS-One to promote unity in the community and to encourage youth to use their minds instead of violence to resolve conflict.
The Stop the Violence forum will feature panelists KRS-One, Dr. Stefan Bradley (St. Louis University), Dr. Zoe Spencer (Virginia State University), and Dr. Colita Nichols Fairfax (Norfolk State University). It will be moderated by NewsChannel 3/WGNT anchor Jessica Larche.
The concert at the Norva will feature KRS-One.
