WASHINGTON – The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday morning that they will play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 at Wembley Stadium in London.
The game is part of the NFL’s International Series.
“We are excited to showcase the Washington Redskins on an international stage,” team owner Dan Snyder said. “We are honored to help grow the game overseas.”
The Redskins also said they could potentially play back-to-back games in London next year, but the other game is dependent on the results and standings of the 2015 regular season.
If the St. Louis Rams and the Redskins finish in identical places in the NFC West and NFC East, the Redskins would play the Rams at Twickenham Stadium the week before the Bengals game.
Both games would be considered road games, preserving the Redskins’ eight-game regular home schedule.
