Smithfield, Va. – A Smithfield school bus carrying around 25 students was involved in an accident with a vehicle Tuesday morning, according to school officials.
The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. on a side street off of Carrollton Boulevard in the Eagle Harbor neighborhood.
Officials say the school bus hit the vehicle.
The students on the bus were from Smithfield High School and Smithfield Middle School.
A different school bus driver were sent to drive the students and the remaining students on the route to school. The students were 30 minutes late to classes.
The bus was towed for minor damages.
Parents of the students were notified and there were no reported injuries.
