Man shot in Lambert’s Point area of Norfolk during robbery

Norfolk, Va. – A Norfolk man is recovering at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital this morning after being shot last night during a robbery.

Shortly after 7:00 pm, the 51-year-old man arrived at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The victim told detectives that while he was outside in the 1400 block of W. 39th Street, two armed black men in their early twenties, wearing dark clothing approached him and tried to rob him.

The man said he was shot as he tried to run away.
