Doctors now recommend cholesterol, depression screenings for children, HIV screenings for teens

The American Academy of Pediatrics has published new recommendations for pediatric health care in 2016.

Among those recommendations are depression screenings for ages 11-21, HIV screenings for teens 16-18, and high cholesterol screenings for children ages 9-11.

All of the included recommendations were approved in October 2015 and will be published in January 2016.
