Virginia Beach, Va. - An AR-15 rifle and shotgun were among the items stolen from a home on Cottonwood Court on Tuesday, according to a police report.

The family who lives at the home was too upset to talk to reporters. A relative said this is the second time the house has been burglarized since the family moved in last summer.

In the first burglary, several handguns were stolen. The second time guns, jewelry, and a safe were all taken, according to the police report.

"I'm really scared, especially if there are guns out of the house," said Joyce Young, a neighbor. "What really frightens me is you don't know who's living here and you don't know who you can trust anymore."

Neighbors say police were back on the street on Wednesday trying to see if anyone has information. Some neighbors are stepping up their security.

"We are deeply concerned around the neighborhood," said Conrado Bersamina. "That's why I just hooked up some cameras outside the door."

Police ask anyone with information to call them.
