Portsmouth, Va. – A woman in Portsmouth used a medical alert button to call for help after at least one person forced their way into her home Wednesday morning.
Medics initially responded to the call in the 3900 block of Clifford St., then called in police after learning at least one person had forced their way into the home and tried to rob her.
The woman, who is in her late 40s, was pushed down but not hurt.
She was taken to the hospital as a precaution due to her existing medical conditions.
