Norfolk, Va. – A man was cited by police at Norfolk International Airport on Tuesday for bringing a loaded handgun through a security checkpoint, TSA Public Affairs Spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said Wednesday.
Farbstein says TSA officer detected the gun among the man’s belongings as he passed through a security checkpoint.
This is the 16th gun that TSA officers have detected at the Norfolk airport this year — more than double the number that were caught in 2014.
